Hell of a retirement

George Washington returned from his presidential term to Mount Vernon, and to one of the biggest distilleries in the new country. At just over 2,000 square feet, the distillery had 5 stills and produced almost 11,000 gallons of whiskey in 1799 alone. For context, the average US distillery at the time was 800 square feet and produced 650 gallons per year.
